She is EGA-certified in canvaswork and has served on the EGA Teacher Certification Committee. She has written four books and too many magazine articles to count, for publishers in the US and in London. Her book, An Illustrated History of Needlework Tools, was translated into German and published in Zurich as well. Gay Ann is an avid collector of needlework tools, lace and lately cameos for which she has designed a series of needlepoint projects.
