American Silver Thimbles Sampler

A labor of love: I collected all of my thimbles together and with a drawing tablet, pencil and eraser I began to build my Thimbles sampler with layers of design, each adapted from a favorite American Silver Thimble.

Do I have all of the thimbles I adapted? Yes. Could you ever find them if you wanted to have them too? Yes, in time. You could begin by coming to Surprise Windows on Saturday where Carolyn will have 6 of the Simons Landscape thimbles for sale. And in time she has told me she will look for as many of the others as she can find.

The sampler is 8 3/4" wide x 11 1/4" tall on a piece of white congress cloth 14" x 16".

Threads include 14 different colors of Soie d'Alger and one Planet Earth (a total of 51 strands of silk). In addition 15 spools of Kreinik braid.

The instructions are 48 pages long, plus a title page, 8 Oversize Graphs and a color copy of the finished sampler.
