Henry's Box Top Geometric

Notes on Henry's Geometric, for framing or As a Box Top

After I finished stitching the large Dressing Henry design, I cycled the patterns into a smaller four-way geometric that I could frame or mount on a Sudberry Laura Box with a 6" opening.

Above is a photo of the Geometric framed; on the right, the Geometric as a Box Top.

If you scroll down you will see all the smalls that fit inside the box. It took 488 years for me to reunite Henry VIII with Anne Boleyn and set them together in a sewing box.

Henry's Box Top Geometric

A Geometric Box Top coordinated with Dressing Henry. I designed the Geometric for a Sudberry Laura Box with a 6" opening to hold Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn Sewing Accessories.

My Geometric became Henry's Sewing Box

After I made the Geometric to double as a box top, I couldn't resist: I made a Sewing Case for Henry and a Needle Book for Anne Boleyn. Then followed scissors, needle threader and fobs. You will find the listings on another page.

Description of Henry's Box Top Geometric Kit

Henry's Box Top is a 6" square design on a 10" square piece of white congress cloth. I reproportioned some of the designs from Dressing Henry into a smaller design that I could frame or use as a box top.

For the design I used four colors of Soie d'Alger, 1 overdyed red silk, Pearl cotton, 3 spools of Kreinik braid #8 and a card of Treasure Braid Petite to substitute for 2 spools of Kreinik braid #4.

The design calls for 5 little baggies of beads which include several unusual beads, some vintage beads and a small collection of real pearls from my fast-dwindling collection.

The Instructions are 20 pages long plus a title page and a color copy, and 4 Oversize Graphs.
