CULLINAN GEOMETRIC
Cullinan Geometric is based on the history of the Cullinan Diamond, the largest single diamond discovered in 1905.
My Cullinan Diamond is a glass sew on jewel at the center of the design but I think it gives the illusion of a huge diamond.
The design is a modified square on a 12" x 12" square of white 18 mesh canvas. The kit is available in 3 color combinations, Blue or Purple or Green. I have very limited numbers of the kits.
I used 6 colors of Soie d'Alger silk, 8 spools of silver and gold #8 Kreinik braid, Burmilana in two colors and pearl cotton #8
in three colors.
The kit includes small baggies of a glass 'diamond', pearls in two sizes and colored beads to match the primary color in the kit.
The instructions are 27 pages long, along with a title page, one Oversize Graph and a color copy of the design.
The price includes shipping and insurance.

A History of the Cullinan Diamond
The Imperial State Crown made for Queen Victoria's coronation was different from the crown as it is today. Victoria's crown was taller, with blue velvet and the sapphire of St. Edward on the front.
The Cullinan Diamond named after Thomas Cullinan, the mine's chairman, was the largest gem-quality diamond ever found. At 3,106.75 carats, it was discovered in South Africa on January 16, 1905. The Amsterdam-based company, I. J. Asscher and Co. cut the diamond into several parts, the largest being 'The Great Star of Africa' (530.4 carats), the next 'The Lesser Star of Africa' (317.4 carats).
After the discovery of the Cullinan diamond, the sapphire was moved to the back of the Imperial State Crown and now the lesser Cullinan diamond is on the front; the greater Cullinan diamond is on the scepter.
