History of My Guilloche Enamel
Needlework Tools Sampler
Guilloche Enamel is a special technique used by the famed jewelers of the 19th and early 20th centuries. It was, for example, a technique favored by the legendary Fabergé.
From about 1880 through the 1920's, silversmiths made small silver tools with Guilloche Enamel. My very best thimble is a German Guilloche thimble with gold dots planted in the enamel.
I've loved Guilloche Enamel ever since I found out about it and so I made a sampler of the Guilloche Needlework Tools I have collected.
I sold it a few years back and people have been asking if I would bring it back. Here it is.
