W-4 #1
$83.00
My Comments: A graceful little silver needle case, French from the 1890's. Just the sort to tuck in a decorative box with a stitched top (I promise, one is coming soon ). These French silver needle cases are so delicate and pretty!

$78.00
My Comments: Very interesting design on the blades of these scissors. IMHO they beg for a pretty black and gold fob on one of the finger rings. Hmm.... more ideas.....
W-4 #3
$43.00
My Comments: We Americans made these little scenic thimbles, the idea belongs to us and almost all our thimble makers made them, with all sorts of scenes. I love American thimbles and collect these scenic ones. I even used them as the inspiration for two THIMBLES Samplers not too long ago. Part of this scene is on one of my samplers.

My Comments: A decorative pair of steel scissors made even more decorative by the leather case that goes with them. Carolyn has said they cut extremely well and I expect would be a very decorative workhorse for their owner.
W-4 #5
$148.00
My Comments: Very unusual, a stiletto with a Stanhope. This one has four scenes of Bayeux, no less. Quite a memorable destination, given the Bayeux Tapestry, one of needlework's iconic pieces of work.
My Comments: What a wonderful little Madras Emery with such an elaborate bow. I got hooked on Madras and ivory and love the designs -- they remind me of blackwork and they would fit so well with a blackwork needle book and other accessories.
W-4 #6
$73.00
My Comments: A very decorative bone needlecase, with what almost looks like motifs from a Medieval Castle. Who knows if a carver was inspired by castles, always an interesting thought.
W-4 #7
$58.00
W-4 #8
$198.00
My Comments: One of antique needlework tools best and most interesting needlecases: you can see it ever so slightly if you look carefully, but feeling the needle case makes it come to life: slide your fingers along the sides of this needle case and you can feel the peas inside the pea pod! Those clever Dieppe ivory carvers!
Limit: only 1 of each.
