My Comments: A pretty French Needle Case decorated with a profusion of roses, first thing that comes to mind, I would make a box top of bullion roses and start a collection of roses to fit in the box.

My Comments: I love these scissors, but then I love steel with decoration like this. It is so much more difficult to do than silver because of the hardness of the steel.

My Comments: We stitchers have repurposed stilettos into modern-day laying tools and here is a pretty little ivory one with a protector-sheath for the point. These little ivory stilettos are the age of Jane Austen and would look wonderful with a Jane Austen needlebook. Added bonus: a loop makes it easy to attach a stitched fob.

My Comments: Beautiful American Art Nouveau scissors made by Simons, and look at the leather sheath that goes with them. As a lover of American silver, I think they are extraordinary.

My Comments: Tunbridgeware pindiscs like this one are named for the town of Tunbridge Wells in England and were souvenirs for visitors in the dawn of train-travel.. The woodwork on these little tools is remarkably well done.

My Comments: Oh wow! If you look carefully at the top of the needlecase you will see a tiny glass peep. Look into the peep and you will see 12 views of Paris. Carolyn shows the tiny scenes of Paris that you will see in this little glass peep. These peeps are called Stanhopes and they are always an amazing treat.
My Comments: A pretty stiletto with a silver handle waiting to be repurposed into a delicate laying tool. I love the simple 'interwoven' decoration on the handle.
