Snowflake Girl History
In this sale I have three options for Snowflake Girl.
I found 2 full kits; they aren't the original threads but are close to that age and they include the original seed beads, bugle beads and craft pearls. This means the kits are somewhere near 30 years old, as I haven't used craft pearls in 30 years.
I also am offering an option for the instructions and the original beads. These include the craft pearls which I just came across. Although not real, they are much nicer than I remembered: they are vintage, from one of the iconic bead stores in Los Angeles's garment district, Berger Beads where the beads for many a Hollywood costume originated.
My third option is for the instructions only, no congress cloth, no threads, no beads. This option is for those of you who might wish to use silk and real pearls.
So how old is Snowflake Girl? I don't know but I am guessing about 35 years old. She's officially vintage and that makes me a vintage needlepoint designer. Scary thought!

Kit Description
I stitched Snowflake Girl on 14" x 16" white congress cloth with threads fitting for the time.
The threads includ Pearl Cotton, floss, Needle Necessities overdyed floss, Wisper (Mohair), Supertwist and Kreinik braid.
Needle Necessities is long gone, but Threadworx is here (they bought Needle Necessities) and Supertwist is now Accentuate. (The two kits I have include Accentuate). Otherwise the thread list is still current.
The instructions are 57 pages long, plus four Oversize Graphs, a title page and a color photo of my finished Snowflake Girl. So Snowflake Girl and I are both vintage; it means that the instructions are vintage also, way before the computer world hit the needlework world.
