Winter's Cottage Sewing Case
Descriptions
This little Sewing Case is stitched on two pieces of congress cloth, one 12" x 12" and one 9" x 9".
You will use Nun's Stitch to lay out the design, then you will cut out the pieces and sew them together with Running Stitch. The stitching and the finishing are both very simple and the instructions lead you through the process step by step.
The finished Sewing Case is just under 4" square.
If you would rather make ornaments out of the pieces, that will work too: I always thought the little cottage front for the needles, just 2.5" square, would make a pretty little ornament on its own.
On sale are the instructions only (no congress cloth, no threads) but both are readily available. You may stitch the case in either silk or in floss: chances are good you will have the supplies in your stash.
In addition to silk or floss you will need a ball of pearl cotton, a skein of Impressions and a spool of Kreinik braid.
The Instructions are 49 pages long, plus one Oversize Graph and a color copy. The instructions include all the details for laying out the pieces, stitching them, cutting out and assembling the Sewing Case.
